Hello - my name is Todd Richards. I'm a solo web designer and developer located in Omaha, NE. The funny thing is, most of the sites I have done are not from the area!
My specialty is working with small-to-medium businesses to fulfill their online needs. I specialize in building websites using ExpressionEngine and CSS/HTML. I have also worked with audio/video for the web, and have ASP (Classic) experience in the event you need help in that area.
My clients love working with me because they know that I will be working with them personally. They also know that I'm going to be honest and straightforward with them when they ask a question or make a request. I am fluent in both "Geek" and "English", so I'll do a great job of making sure you understand things - or at least the things you want to understand. Your success is my success, so I treat every site as though it's my own. So, in a way I guess I don't think of you as a client, but as a friend.
One of the great things about the Internet is that you don't have to be in Omaha, NE to work with me. With email, mobile phones, Skype, remote desktop sharing, etc., it's pretty easy to communicate these days. Likewise, if i need assistance on a project, I can call on any of my skilled colleagues to help out, regardless of where they live. So everyone wins!
While my main focus in Omaha is web design and web development, I have also been supporting Windows PCs and Servers for the last 10 years. So if you're looking for help for your home or office, and don't know who to call, give me a shout! (And for the record, I use both PC and Mac!)

I started Promising Sites back in 1999 after I discovered my love for computers, the Internet, and creating websites. I came up with the name "Promising Sites" because I want to build a successful website for you. While the technology has changed over and over (and over) since then, one thing hasn't - my passion for it.
I pursued my degree in Computer Science from UNO, and while I enjoyed programming, I quickly found out that you had to write 10,000 lines of code to say the word "Hello". After exploring some options, I decided that a focus on the Internet was what I wanted. I guess the gratification of being able to put something online and have it available to billions of people in an instant was pretty cool. To this day, I get up each morning and still think that it's pretty cool.
In my spare time, I love doing various remodeling projects around the house, working in the yard (when it's nice, of course), as well as trying my hand at photography.
Although I'm just a one-man shop, my wife Aimee has a creative eye, can proof-read like no other, and is very supportive of my late nights. And Sammy (our Boxer) likes to eat, squeak his ball by my desk non-stop, and cuddle every chance he gets.
Yes, you could say I have it made.
